the art of seeing

the art of seeing

My journey with photography has taught me many things. From the technical aspects to the artistic side, there has been much to learn. And then of course comes the esoteric side of photography, “seeing” and pre-visualizing work before it happens. I have tried to expand on that by adding another twist, use vintage lenses with current digital cameras. The only system you can easily do this with is Pentax. All of their lenses will work on today’s canera bodies. Many of the lenses are manual focus which requires putting your camera into manual mode but the new Pentax digital camera bodies have focus peaking built in, so it’s easy to do a manual focus.

This photo was shot with a lens that is 30 years.
